Stefanie Hering combines her love of porcelain, her artistic talent and her comprehensive artisan knowhow with managerial skills and a great sense for her times. In 1999 she founded the company Hering Berlin and has since developed her tableware into a “product family” that courageously counters the slow demise of small porcelain manufacturers since the late 20th century. Her singularly elegant design relies on bisque porcelain, clear forms, relief structure and tactility – assets she had already perfected in her time as a ceramicist working in hand-thrown originals of exceptional expressiveness.
